How it works
Book Appointment
Please book an appointment by calling at 780-436-0500. The appointment will reduce your wait time and will help us prepare ahead of your scheduled appointment.
Attend Appointment
Please visit us at the scheduled time, to reduce your waiting time. The whole process may take up to 15 to 20 minutes.
Digital Fingerprint
This is a paperless process. We are accredited by the RCMP to submit electronic fingerprints to RCMP's Canadian Criminal Real Time Identification Services (CCRTIS) on your behalf. Digital fingerprinting is the electronic capture of a person’s fingerprints via a live scanner at our West Edmonton Mall location. The scanned fingerprints, along with the application details will be sent digitally to secured RCMP’s Canadian Criminal Real Time Information System. CCRTIS compares fingerprint details with RCMP criminal record database. If no record is present, the RCMP will issue a certificate indicating a clear record. If the applicant does have a criminal record this will be indicated in the results.
Ink and Roll Fingerprint
Ink and Roll fingerprint is a substitute for above mentioned digital check where information exchange between two countries is not possible due to technology differences, or for privacy reasons. For Example, a Canadian resident needs a background check from the Philippines. Canadian residents can send Ink and Roll fingerprints to the designated country to obtain the criminal record check. Please consult the designated country criminal record check guidelines/website for more information.
Please Note: Effective July 1st, 2014 the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, (RCMP) is accepting only digital fingerprints unless noted under special circumstances.

Fingerprints requirements
At the appointment, please bring:
- Instruction provided to you for the background check or fingerprint (if applicable)
- You must bring two pieces of Government-issued identifications, out of which one must be a Photo Id. The following types of identification are acceptable: Passport, Driver's License, Birth Certificate, Canadian Citizenship Card or Certificate, Permanent Resident Card, Certificate of Indian Status, Immigration Documents, Military Family ID, Nexus Card, Federal Government Employee ID, Health Care Card
